Results of the AKM Video Meteor Network - February 2002 ======================================================= If we leave out a few clear nights in the middle of February it was a typical poor winter month. Our two Australian observers complained over this rainy southern mid-summer month, too. That means they could only observe in every other night. :-) Orlando Benitez-Sanchez did not even have a single clear night at the Canaries, and the image intensifier of Joerg Strunk became fully blind. In one 11h observation his camera recorded not even a single meteor... There were also no observations from Detlef Koschny this month, as his cameras were reconstructed. However, in March they are in operation again. To cut the long story short: There is not much good news from last month, but at least the first part of February was reasonably well covered with video observations. 1.
